I remember crying the first time I heard Will You (Breaking Glass - Hazel O'Connor, 1980). O'Connor's voice and lyrics establish an emotional mood and into that moment steps Wesley McGoogan with his alto sax for the most powerfully emotive sax solo of all time. For myself, I am torn whether Will You or Lily was Here is the greatest sax solo ever. They are difffernent. My head goes for the Lily was Here but my heart has always belonged to Will You. If you agree with me - or even if you disagree (loll) - you can vote for the greatest sax solo or nominate tracks I have missed.
